As the year winds down, so do several series vital to programmers’ fortunes.

The battle of the fall singing contests ends. “The Voice,” which was crucial to NBC’s resurgence, offers a 90-minute performance show at 8 p.m. Monday. The winner is named in a two-hour finale at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

“The Voice” has tended to upstage “The X Factor” this fall. But “X Factor” impresario Simon Cowell will roll out a big, four-hour finale over two nights, starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday on Fox. Better enjoy L.A. Reid while you can; he has said he won’t be back.

“Jersey Shore” delivers its final episode at 10 p.m. Thursday on MTV. If parting is just too hard, stick around for a cast reunion at 11.

“Gossip Girl” concludes its six-season run with a two-hour finale at 8 p.m. Monday. The CW vows “all will be revealed,” but how many care? The once-hot hit has cooled considerably.

Two favorite series offer their season finales Sunday. “Homeland” concludes its second year at 10 p.m. on Showtime. CBS’ “Survivor” delivers a two-hour season finale, starting roughly at 8:30 p.m., followed by the cast reunion.

“Royal Pains” presents a wedding at 9 p.m. Sunday on USA. Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and Paige (Brooke D’Orsay) tie the knot in a two-hour special.

“Burn Notice” presents a two-hour season finale at 9 p.m. Thursday on USA. Sonja Sohn, Alex Carter and Patrick Kilpatrick guest star. USA provided this preview: “Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) attempts to leave the country with his team, but when the escape is ambushed, Sam (Bruce Campbell) is shot and Jesse (Coby Bell) is taken captive.”

In the holiday category, Fox delivers “DreamWorks Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury” at 8 p.m. Monday. Faith, love and friendship are themes in the special based on the movie “How to Train Your Dragon.”

CBS offers “A Home for the Holidays With Rascal Flatts” at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The annual special celebrates adoption. Performing this year will be Melissa Etheridge, Matchbox Twenty and “American Idol” victor Phillip Phillips.

The two-hour “CMA Country Christmas” starts at 9 p.m. Thursday on ABC. Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland serves as host. The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum and Keith Urban are among the performers.

Conan O’Brien hosts TNT’s “Christmas in Washington” at 8 p.m. Friday. Diana Ross, Demi Lovato, Scotty McCreery and Psy perform.

The holiday repeats this week include “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at 8 p.m. Tuesday on ABC and “Michael Buble: Home for the Holidays” at 8 p.m. Friday on NBC.
